As most of the communes of the island, Le Tampon has access to just as well athletic as culturels infrastructures. In here the principal ones :

- The Luc Donat theatre of a capacity 600 places,
- The municipal library (outdated ! a multimedia library to the picture of Tampon is obvious !).
- The Museum of the House of the Volcano, situated to Bourg-Murat, lead us in the universe of the Piton de la Fournaise.

- The culture with its 12 nursery schools, 30 elementary schools, 4 secondary schools, 2 high general teaching schools (The Roland Garros high school and the Bois Joly Potier high school) and 1 high professional teaching school receiving, altogether, 17.800 students and 900 teachers (out of the University), and 1 University (STAPS, IUFM, Geography DEUG, DEUG AES, License of Education Science...).

Town centre : Paul Hermann (1), Terrain Fleury (2), Club of Mascareignes (8 of which 2 on a clay court), Tennis Club of Tampon (5 of which 1 on a clay court),

Town centre : The Kléber Picard Stadium formerly called Roland Garros Stadium, where evolves the first team of Tampon.

14ème km : Inaugurated gymnasium in September 1999, near of the secondary school of the 14ème km.

Sports complex near of schools (7) : Bras de Pontho (2), 12ème km (1), 14ème km (2), Trois-Mares (1), Piton Hyacinthe (1), Roland Garros (1).

Town centre : SIDR 400 (1), Bras de Pontho near of the CASE (1), Bras Creux (1), Plaine des Cafres (2) and town centre (1).

Skate ramps (3) : 1 small sheet metal ramp in front of the town hall of Bras-Creux, 1 small concrete ramp at Bois-Court and a resin ramp to the place of the 400.  [Thanks to Marc]
